According to the results of 2013 Ukrainian TV series ‘The Matchmakers’ has got the place in category ‘Comedy TV Series’ in nomination ‘International Audience Award’. The nomination estimates films on TV which have gathered more people at screens for a year.

‘International Audience Award’ was organized by ‘TV Festival in Monte-Carlo together with Eurodata TV Worldwide company (France) which specializes on research in telemarketing area.
This award is given in 3 categories: drama TV series, sitcom, and soap opera. Nominees of the award are estimated due to rate calculation of viewers’ number in 15 best films in 66 countries with almost three billion people audience.

Winners will be announced at the awarding ceremony ‘The Golden Nymph’ which will be held in Monaco on June 11, 2014.

The TV series ‘The Matchmakers’ had already been nominated earlier in 2012 in category ‘Comedy TV series’ together with such films as ‘Desperate Housewives’ and ‘The Big Bang Theory’. This time, such films as ‘Modern Family’(Fox, the USA) and ‘I Do, I Do’ (MBC-South Korea), have become the competitors of the Ukrainian TV series.

The TV festival in Monte-Carlo is said to be the most prestigious and authoritative TV festivals in Europe. It was originated in 1961 by the prince of Monaco, Rainier III to praise the new form of art and its service for piece and mutual understanding. The event program includes premiere, competitive and non-competitive runs, as well as conferences and seminars. The symbol and the award of the festival is a golden copy of the nymph Salmacis statue, the original of which is placed in Louvre.

On monday, 11th of March 2013, starts premiere screening of ‘Matchmakers-5’ TV series
